Honey Singh real name is Hirdesh Singh. He was born on 15 March 1983, he is an Indian music

director, songwriter, Indi-pop singer, music producer, and film actor. He has also begun to produce

music for Bollywood and Punjabi films.

Early life:-

He was born on 15 March 1983. His birth was in Hoshiarpur Punjab. His birth name is Hirdesh

Singh. He studied his music from Trinity School of the United Kingdom. His family later moved to

Delhi.

Personal life:-

He married Shalini Talwar Singh, whom he introduced to audiences for the first time on the T.V show

India's Raw Star.

In late 2014 disappeared from the music scene, before making a comeback the following year, but

mostly avoided the media.

Promotion:-

Honey and Diljit Dosanjh's song "Lak 28 Kudi Da"   BBC Asian Download Charts in May 2011 in

the no. 1 position. The song was launched as a promotional track for Diljit Dosanjh film Lion of

Punjab.
He had won the ETC award with his good voice for his song "Glassi", the PTC award for the Best

Folk Pop Award 2009 for "Rebirth". And he also won the Best Director's award. Trending videos of

Honey 2012 found the first number. His first song "Brown Rang" was a hit. Honey and Jazz Dhami

together took the fourth position from High Hills Song

Career:-

Honey sings the song in many languages like:- Hindi, English, Punjabi.

He is a versatile singer who also composed his songs.

The new Punjabi album was released through International Villager on 11-11-2011. The track

"Gabru" from the album, featuring singer J-Star, topped the Asian music charts, including the official

BBC Asian charts. He has performed at many college festivals, Every People loved his.

Movie:-

His first Movie released was"Zorawar". This movie is very good. Honey played an army officer in

this film. Honey Singh's song "Angreji Beat"    became popular and was a part of Saif Ali Khan's

movie cocktail.

Honey launched his single track in "Bring Me Back ft. Spoken Word" at the Video Music Awards

India.

In late 2013, he made a song for films like the "Chennai Express" "Boss".  He has also had songs in smaller-budget films such as Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Bajatey Raho, and Fugly. In February 2015 he released the songs "Birthday Bash", followed by songs in films including Gabbar is Back and Bhaag Johnny.

Acting:-

Honey played the role of a crazy gangster in Baldev Singh's movie Mirza The Untold Story. He got

the Best Male Actor Award from PTC Punjabi Film Industry. After a few days, he and other films

started getting work, this time a comedy by Amit Prasher, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, as Rolly, a

childish and spoilt brat, alongside Amrinder Gill.

After this Honey started acting in films like a hero. In his movie Musical thrill, he has worked with

Himesh Reshammiya. The film was released on 16 May 2014, to mixed reviews from critics, though

it was a box office flop.

Criticism of lyrics:-

Singh's song "Party All Night" in Akshay Kumar's film Boss was at the center of a controversy.

Producers of the movie had to submit a petition in Delhi High Court claiming that they had 'muted' an

 alleged vulgar word in Singh's song. The court heard a petition filed by lawyer Sanjay Bhatnagar

seeking a stay on the film, contending that without the censor board's approval, the song could not be

released with such a vulgar word. The director demanded the closure of this film until the song was

removed from this movie.

His work has been perceived vulgar promoting women and having a bad effect.There have been

reactions in print to Singh, such as from Annie Zaidi, who wrote: "January 2013 May Honey an open

letter, and Sandipan Sharma, who wrote, "Thanks for the crassness: An open letter to Honey Singh

from a parent" in July 2014.

On 2014, he and singer Raftaar were in dispute over whether Raftaar should receive credit for the

lyrics of the song "Yeh Fugly Fugly Kya Hai".

Personal life:-

Singh was reportedly in rehab in Chandigarh, according to Jasbir Jassi. However, Jassi later denied

saying this.

Maybe there are people who like/dislike him but there is no denying the fact that Honey Singh has

played an important role in popularising rap music and his name is referred when you talk about the

best in the rap music business.
