                            Punjabi Music 

Punjabi music is an entertainment source for all music lovers. Most Indian people irrespective of

caste,  creed, language or demographics listen to Punjabi music. They love Punjabi music and though

they do not understand the lyrics but the beat and music are what the people are crazy about. Today's

the topic relates to the changes Punjabi music has undergone with time.
                                         
                                               

Old Punjabi Music:-  

When the first song was recorded in  Punjabi music every instrument used for

the  composition of music was original like- Tumbi, Dholki, Bansuri,  Dapple, Baja 

Dresses reflecting Punjabi Culture was worn by artists and the picturesque of songs was

done in rural areas depicting the real flavor of Indian Punjabi culture.

The Old Punjabi Music traditional dresses were very colorful, unique and vibrant. Women wore  suit

and Saree (Kameez is the top and Salwar is the bottom). These clothes were designed very well and

looked so nice as the dresses were embroidered at homes in multi colours. Men wear a Turban and

decorated their faces with a very big moustache. Long ago  Hindus and Muslims also used to wear

turbans, but now Sikhs can be only seen wearing them. Kurta is the wear of the upper body, and

Pajamas are worn on the lower body.  A long time  back, mostly Punjabi person wore the Punjabi

Jooti because it is the traditional footwear worn by men and women for many years. Mostly the

singer uses the same dress like- Dhoti Kurta, Pajama Kurta, and Pagdi Talk about hairstyle it was

lazy and simple type.

New Punjabi Music

When the first song was recorded every instrument was not original. Because of

the computer was replaced by the traditional instrument.


The New Punjabi Music traditional dresses are varied and reflect the changes in Punjabi music. And

every dress is very professional and beautiful. The man wears Coat-Pent, Jeans, Tshirt, and a shirt. And

talk about shoes there are many types and brands singers use like Formal Shoes, Flat Shoes, Sports

Shoes and Brands and Like:- Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc; And

Female singers wear Jean-Top, Palazzo, Punjabi Suit, Sari, etc; and footwear:- Sandal, Punjabi Jooti,

and Shoes.

Every singer uses the hairstyle which is unique and professional type. Most Singers are keeping

small beards and mustache. But some singer keeps the big beard and mustache Like- Amrit Maan,

Parmish Verma, etc

The changes are there in Punjabi music and fashion as well as the tastes of music lovers. The cultural

change and western influence has brought the changes in the music
